THE GREEN SHOW – Recycle, Repurpose, Reuse
Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo Gallery, Epic Center – September 2011Working with a GREEN point of view, seventeen Kalamazoo area artists investigated how this might
impact their work. Many have looked to found objects as a source of materials and inspiration.
Others are recycling work that they created earlier in their career.
Still others are inspired by objects found in nature. Show Statement.

Connection and Renewal
Display Frame – Weathered bird feeder frame with trim molding left overs.
Knife and Spoon Fibula (a classic pin clasp) – Fabricated from various plastic tear off seals, twist ties, zip ties, bottle cap rings, metal wires and staples plus various lengths of fiber and cordage.
Fork and Spoon Fibula (classic pin clasp) – Various connection devices associated with commercial products of daily renewal. Bound together with colorful strands of classic telephone wire.
Nail Fibula – Four generations of nails from home remodeling efforts. Fastening, connection, renewal.
